Astra is now taking work across Wollongong and the Illawarra.

New service area. Astra has been installing since 2021 — over 1,200 systems across the ACT, Tasmania and southern New South Wales. We are now taking work here. Everything below about your network is current and checked; what we do not yet have is a long list of local jobs, and we would rather say so.

The Illawarra is Endeavour Energy territory. Endeavour’s standard export limit is 5 kW on single phase, but from late 2026 flexible exports become the default connection offer — allowing up to 10 kW most of the time, provided the system uses a smart inverter with an active internet connection.

If you are installing now, that is a specification decision worth getting right the first time. A system fitted without a compatible inverter cannot take advantage of the higher limit when it arrives.
